Revestimentos de pisos em aglomerado de cortiça

Abstract

Nos dias de hoje, o aumento do consumo dos nossos recursos não renováveis leva-nos à procura de métodos mais eficientes, mas também de materiais provenientes de recursos renováveis. Tendo como ponto de partida a problemática da sustentabilidade e as matérias-primas existentes e de forma a promover a cultura e a tradição do nosso país, o objectivo é dar a conhecer um material nobre e reconhecido pela sua qualidade: a cortiça e os seus derivados. As rolhas em cortiça são mundialmente reconhecidas pela sua qualidade, o material usado para a sua produção têm vindo a ser desenvolvido, de modo a ser utilizado para outros fins, em especial na área da Construção Civil. Este trabalho final faz uma abordagem à cortiça como matéria-prima, a sua proveniência, os seus derivados e as suas principais características, e incidirá também sobre a sua potencialidade de aplicação na Construção Civil, em especial no revestimento de pisos. Em relação ao revestimento de pisos, iremos ter em consideração os diferentes tipos, a legislação em vigor e a normalização existente, bem como as soluções construtivas mais usuais, os procedimentos de aplicação em obra e as respectivas vantagens e desvantagens de cada uma.
