Avaliação quantitativa dos movimentos oculares

Abstract

A avaliação da motilidade ocular extrínseca é de extrema importância na avaliação dos desequilíbrios oculomotores, nomeadamente em caso de incocomitâncias. Na prática clínica diária é frequentemente usada uma caracterização qualitativa dosmovimentos oculares (MO) de forma a caracterizar as hipo e hiperaçõesmusculares. Existem várias técnicas para medir a motilidade ocular, com características distintas de acordo com os contextos clínicos, havendo na atualidade já ferramentas baseadas na Inteligência artificial, melhorando a precisão e eficiência do diagnóstico: 1) Técnica do Ponteiro Laser (LPT), técnica inovadora utiliza um ponteiro laser acoplado a um headset para medir as duções oculares. Comparada à técnica do perímetro de Goldmann, a LPT mostrou-se mais rápida e com melhor repetibilidade inter-observador. O Teste de Reflexo de Luz com Prisma: Este método direto mede as duções oculares através do deslocamento do reflexo de luz com prismas plásticos; 2) o Kestanbaum descreveu que a amplitude média de adução (ADD) é 10mm, de abdução (ABD) 10mm, elevação 6 mm e depressão 10mm1, quando quantificadas com uma régua milimétrica - medição da distância percorrida pelo olho (tendo como referência o limbo esclero-corneano) desde a posição primária até à posição de dução máxima. Objetivo do estudo: explorar os valores de amplitude máxima de extensão da motilidade ocular em indivíduos sem alterações da motilidade ocular, utilizando o método de Kestanbaum.
