Comportamentos agressivos online : Cyberstalking, Tríade Negra e Hostilidade

Abstract

Online aggressive behaviors are an essential reality for research that seeks to understand the motivations for the appearance of constructs such as Cyberstalking, Cyberbullying, among others. The present investigation aims to evaluate whether Cyberstalking victims have higher values in the Dark Triad and Hostility. How aggressive behaviors, such as Cyberstalking in young adults, can be associated with personality traits. Considering the evolution of the investigation of this phenomenon, the personality traits that will be studied are Machiavellianism, Narcissism, Psychopathy and Hostility. Participants will answer a Sociodemographic Questionnaire, Cyberstalking Rating Scale, Short Dark Triad Rating Scale, and Brief Symptom Inventory Rating Scale. The results are expected to coincide with the hypotheses. We found positive correlations between Cyberstalking, Dark Triad of personality and Hostility constructs. No differences were found in male and female participants in the constructs evaluated. We noticed that, in the present sample, younger people have more Hostility than older people. Statistically significant differences were also found in the threat subscale for participants who are not in a romantic relationship. The present study should consider some limitations. Still, it is relevant and current for the scientific community and for a new awareness of crimes in a virtual context.
