A Aprendizagem-Serviço é uma metodologia em que os estudantes aprendem, através da realização de serviços ou projetos práticos que respondem a necessidades reais da comunidade. O objetivo é que, sob a orientação do docente, os estudantes consigam aplicar a um contexto real os conhecimentos teóricos construídos em sala de aula, contribuindo para melhorar a qualidade de vida da comunidade onde se inserem. Este manual apresenta uma breve revisão da literatura sobre esta metodologia de aprendizagem ativa.

Service-Learning is a methodology in which students learn by carrying out services or practical projects that respond to real needs of the community. The goal is that, under the guidance of the teacher, students will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge built in the classroom to a real context, contributing to improve the quality of life of the community where they live. This manual presents a brief review of the literature on this active learning methodology.
