Abstract

O presente documento reporta o trabalho desenvolvido no estágio inserido no Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem na área de Especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, do biénio 2010/2012, da Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Nele são descritas as atividades realizadas bem como as competências desenvolvidas ao longo dos diferentes módulos de estágio. Reproduz um percurso de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento que teve lugar na Comissão de Controlo de Infeção e no Serviço de Urgência Geral do Hospital de São Francisco Xavier, E.P.E.. O trabalho e os contributos desenvolvidos para a prática de Enfermagem sustentaram-se numa praxis de enfermagem segura, tendo em conta os princípios do ‘Patient Safety’. Este relatório descreve a nossa atividade profissional que foi alvo de creditação, as atividades e competências desenvolvidas ao longo dos estágios, sendo também realizada uma reflexão sobre as competências desenvolvidas sendo também realizada uma análise SWOT acerca de todo o percurso realizado. No final deste relatório podemos encontrar as conclusões do trabalho realizado e que acreditamos ter contribuído para a sustentabilidade de uma prestação de cuidados de Enfermagem mais segura para a Pessoa.

This document reports the work done in the scope of the stage in Medical-Surgical Nursing of the Master's Degree in Nursing in the area of specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing, for the biennium 2010/2012, of the Portuguese Catholic University. In it we describe the activities and skills developed over the different fields of training. It reproduces a journey of learning and development that took place in the Infection Control Committee and the Accident and Emergency Service, at the São Francisco Xavier’s Hospital. The work input and developed to practice nursing was supported in a secure nursing praxis, taking account the principles of 'Patient Safety'. This report describes our professional activity that was subject of accreditation and the activities and skills developed over the stages. The report makes a reflection about developed skills and also carried out a SWOT analysis about the entire route taken. At the end of this report we find the conclusions of the work done and that we believe have contributed to the sustainability of a safer nursing care for the Person and healthcare workers.
