Os projetos realizados em sala são “fontes” de conhecimento, tanto para as crianças como para o educador, pois, para as primeiras, é algo que promove o contato com os diversos materiais existentes para o efeito e a possibilidade de utilização de outros que não sendo os apropriados, são também manuseados e utilizados (por exemplo, os materiais recicláveis). Já para o educador, os projetos poderão tornar-se enriquecedores e promovem, com certeza, o surgimento de novas ideias educativas, as quais poderão ser aplicadas na prática do quotidiano. Os objetivos deste trabalho centraram-se na construção de uma maquete com as crianças, o qual representasse o habitat do coelho e no aprofundamento de conhecimento matemático e do conhecimento do mundo nas crianças, durante as atividades na realização da maquete. A recolha de dados realizou-se entre 8 e 24 de Março de 2017 e teve lugar numa instituição com valência de creche e jardim de infância, pertencente ao Concelho de Cascais, através da observação das atividades realizadas pelas crianças. Após a realização do projeto, as aprendizagens foram notórias, pois as crianças ao terem feito uma pesquisa inicial em casa com os pais, dialogaram posteriormente com a educadora sobre o que tinham aprendido. Todo este momento fez com que as crianças adquiressem conhecimento em como era o habitat e a alimentação do coelho, tendo sido colocado seguidamente em prática, com o auxílio da investigadora, na concretização da maquete.

The projects carried out in the classroom are "sources" of knowledge, both for the children and the educator, because for the former it is something that promotes contact with the various materials available for this purpose and the possibility of using others, that do not being appropriate, are also handled and used (for example, recyclable materials). For the educator, the projects can become enriching and certainly promote the emergence of new educational ideas, which can be applied in everyday practice. The objectives of this work were to construct a model with children, which represented the habitat of the rabbit and the deepening of mathematical knowledge and knowledge of the world in the children, during the activities in the accomplishment of the model. The data collection was carried out between 8 and 24 of March 2017 and it was held in an institution with valence of nursery and kindergarten, belonging to the County of Cascais, through the observation of the activities carried out by children. After the project was completed, the learnings were notorious, since the children, when they had done an initial research at home with the parents, later talked with the educator about what they had learned. All this moment made the children acquire knowledge on how was the habitat and feeding the rabbit, and was then put into practice, with the help of the researcher, in the implementation of the model.
