ABSTRACT: The authors present two perspectives upon the process of grief and mourning after the death of a child. Miscarriage, perinatal death and death of an older child followed by a new pregnancy are some of the situations discussed. Based on their clinical experience in maternity ward, the authors consider different psychological interventions after perinatal death and during a new pregnancy after a child’s death.
