Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this experiment was to study the image of the teacher (image given by the pupils and image given by the teacher himself), in the perspective of the relationships between teacher/pupil(s) on the 4th grade. Seventy-two children (36 were considered on a high level and 36 on a low level) and 8 teachers were included in our sample. The results can be fiied on this way: The first serie, grouping the answers of the children, indicated that the majority of the pupils perceived their teacher in a positive way, including their technical and affective qualities; The second serie of results, grouping the answers of the teachers, shows that they think that their children construct a positive image of them, but more positive when it his produced by high level pupils then by low level children. In another way, on the technical competence, they perceived themselves better then in their pedagogues relation competente, independently of the level of the children.
