Abstract

Um etólogo pode contribuir para a protecção da Natureza, em 3 níveis: Analisando o comportamento humano e o funcionamento das sociedades humanas em relação com a Natureza. Estudando as espécies, ameaçadas ou não, nos seus habitats naturais, inferindo a sua situação ecológica e/ou o melhoramento dessa situação, eventualmente através de extrapolação de dados. Contribuindo para a conservação das espécies em condições de cativeiro ou seminaturais e a sua reintrodução na Natureza.
