O IFCN (International Farm Comparison Network) é um consórcio internacional criado em 1997, coordenado pelo IFCN Dairy Research Center, centro de investigação ligado à Universidade de Kiel, Alemanha. Inclui investigadores e consultores que desenvolvem a sua atividade na área da produção e transformação de leite. Desde 2000 que publica um relatório anual que caracteriza o setor leiteiro a nível mundial. O IFCN Dairy Report publicado em outubro de 2012 caracteriza a fileira do leite em 91 países representando 97,5% da produção mundial de leite de vaca e de búfala. Portugal faz parte deste consórcio internacional desde 2007 por intermédio do intercâmbio técnico e científico com a Escola Superior Agrária do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco.
