Digitalização do sensacionalismo: do tradicional ao on-line

Abstract

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo o estudo da transição do sensacionalismo dos meios tradicionais para o digital, iniciando com uma definição e contextualização do sensacionalismo e, posteriormente, atravessando as várias facetas desse conceito e várias formas do mesmo se materializar, partindo da análise de casos concretos noticiados e propagados por meios de comunicação estabelecidos no mercado. Consideramos essencial definir e contextualizar o conceito e a história do sensacionalismo, sobretudo do que ele significa na condição humana, para depois exibir os meios de locomoção que o mesmo utiliza para se inserir e vaguear na sociedade. Esta fundamentação é acompanhada de exemplos quotidianos que permitam transportar para a realidade do dia-a-dia de qualquer individuo aquilo que acontece ao nível da atmosfera mediática. Quanto à bibliografia consultada, é sensato dizer que o estudo se foca, principalmente, numa reflexão em torno das ideias de Mitchell Stephens, Danilo Angrimani e Manuel Castells. O ponto de interesse desta pesquisa centra-se, portanto, na perceção plena do conceito de sensacionalismo e principais meios por onde ele se propaga na sociedade e a sua transição para o mundo digital que, sendo tão grande e difícil de regular, ainda carece de soluções para tantos problemas.
