Sevofluorano en la anestesia general del perro

Abstract

Para la realización de esta Tesis se han recogido datos de anestesias clínicas realizadas con sevofluorano, con el objeto de valorar los efectos de este agente anestésico en el sistema cardiorrespiratorio. Para ello se han recogido diversos parámetros cardiovasculares y respiratorios monitorizados durante toda la técnica anestésica, así como los tiempos de recuperación, con el objetivo de valorar la duración y calidad de la anestesia. El objetivo de esta Tesis es el estudio de validez clínica del sevofluorano en la anestesia inhalatoria del perro y su estudio comparativo con isofluorano. Para tal fin se analizan los registros anestésicos de 276 casos clínicos de diferente riesgo anestésico, sometidos a diversos procedimientos diagnósticos y terapeúticos. La muestra se divide en dos lotes: sevofluorano e isofluorano. Ambos se premedicaron con un anticolinérgico y un sedante alfa-2-agonista, induciéndose posteriormente la anestesia con propofol. El mantenimiento anestésico se realizó con sevolfuorano o isofluorano. Durante el protocolo se registraron diversas variables cardiorrespiratorias, además de los tiempos de recuperación y todas aquellas incidencias y complicaciones que pudieran ocurrir. Derivado de los resultados obtenidos, podemos decir que el sevofluorano no provoca grandes cambios en los parámetros estudiados, manteniendo los mismos en sus valores de normalidad. En el estudio comparativo, ambos agentes se comportan de un modo similar, si bien el isofluorano puede provocar una mayor depresión cardiorrespiratoria
