Within the group of Japanese loanwords used in the current Spanish language, those related to martial arts or sports constitute the bigger semantic field (18 words out of a total of 92 items). The aim of the present article, for the first time in Spanish, is to describe thoroughly the martial-sportive Japanese loanwords according to formal, semantic and historical perspectives. Besides, it will be indicated the degree of adaptation of these loanwords in the Spanish lexical inventory

Dentro del grupo de japonesismos utilizados en el español actual, los japonesismos marciales o deportivos constituyen la mayor área referencial (18 voces de un total de 92 ítems). En el presente artículo se pretende, por primera vez en lengua española, realizar un estudio exhaustivo de los japonesismos marciales y deportivos, atendiendo a diferentes perspectivas lingüísticas (formal, semántica e histórica), además de indicar su grado de adaptación al inventario léxico del español.
