La formación del profesorado de matemáticas: un análisis de cambios curriculares en la Universidad del Tolima

Abstract

This paper analyses curricular changes in mathematics teacher training at the University of Tolima, with the aim of analysing and describing curricular changes in mathematics teacher training. Based on descriptive, ex post facto and case study approaches, and on the legal framework of higher education in Colombia, which consists of a comprehensive set of laws, decrees, resolutions and agreements that establish the normative and regulatory bases for the operation of higher education institutions, seven curricula were reviewed in the initial teacher training of the undergraduate programme in mathematics of the faculty of education, evaluating the components of teacher training in mathematics that include disciplinary, professional, interdisciplinary and humanistic training. As well as, various educational methodologies and pedagogical approaches, evaluative trends and the importance of pedagogical practices. This framework seeks to ensure compliance with access, quality and relevance of education, as well as to foster research and academic development. The research raises key questions about changes in teacher training and the university's capacity to respond to scientific, technological and social demands, such as: In what aspects has mathematics teacher training changed at the University of Tolima, what is the purpose of the curriculum in mathematics teacher training at the University of Tolima, what is the purpose of the curriculum in mathematics teacher training at the University of Tolima, and what curricular changes are evident in mathematics teacher training at the University of Tolima, what is the purpose of the curriculum in mathematics teacher training at the University of Tolima, and what is the purpose of the curriculum in mathematics teacher training in Tolima? And what curricular changes are evident in mathematics teacher training at the University of Tolima, among others. This study is especially relevant, in that there are different regulations at the state level in order to ensure quality in teacher training by universities with faculties of education, as well as by the university itself, which has to comply with the orders of the Ministry of National Education. Compliance with regulations leads to the recent high quality accreditation of the University of Tolima, which seeks to adapt its training programmes to meet contemporary developments and the educational needs of the country. In conclusion, there has been a considerable evolution in mathematics teacher training plans in response to current educational demands, adapting to the challenges of a constantly developing world and the need to adjust teaching systems to new social, technological and economic environments.

Este trabajo analiza los cambios curriculares en la formación del profesorado de matemáticas en la Universidad del Tolima, con el objetivo de Analizar y describir los cambios curriculares en la formación del profesorado en matemáticas. Basado en enfoques descriptivos, ex post facto y estudios de casos, y en el marco legal de la educación superior en Colombia, que se compone de un conjunto integral de leyes, decretos, resoluciones y acuerdos que establecen las bases normativas y reguladoras para el funcionamiento de las instituciones de educación superior, se revisaron siete planes de estudio en la formación inicial de profesores del programa de licenciatura en matemáticas de la facultad de educación, evaluando las componentes de la formación del profesorado en matemáticas que incluyen la formación disciplinar, profesional, interdisciplinar y humanística. Así como, diversas metodologías educativas y enfoques pedagógicos, tendencias evaluativas y la importancia de las prácticas pedagógicas. Este marco busca garantizar el cumplimiento al acceso, la calidad y la pertinencia de la educación, así como fomentar la investigación y el desarrollo académico. La investigación plantea preguntas clave sobre los cambios en la formación del profesorado y la capacidad de la universidad para responder a las demandas científicas, tecnológicas y sociales, tales como: ¿En qué aspectos ha cambiado la formación del profesorado de matemáticas en la universidad del Tolima?, ¿Cuál es el propósito del plan de estudio en la formación del profesorado de matemáticas en la universidad del Tolima? Y ¿Qué cambios curriculares se evidencian en la formación del profesorado de matemáticas en la Universidad del Tolima?, entre otros. Este estudio es especialmente pertinente, en cuanto, hay normativas distintas en el tiempo a nivel estatal con el fin de asegurar la calidad en la formación del profesorado por las universidades con facultades de educación, así como de la propia universidad, quien tiene que cumplir lo ordenado por el ministerio de educación nacional. El cumplimiento de la normativa conduce a la reciente acreditación de alta calidad de la Universidad del Tolima, que busca adaptar sus programas formativos para cumplir con los avances contemporáneos y las necesidades educativas del país. En conclusión, se observa una evolución considerable en los planes de formación del profesorado en matemáticas, en respuesta a las exigencias educativas actuales, adaptándose a los desafíos de un mundo en constante desarrollo y a la necesidad de ajustar los sistemas de enseñanza a los nuevos entornos sociales, tecnológicos y económicos.
