Demanda de agua en zonas urbanas de Andalucía

Abstract

El estudio de la demanda de agua y su predicción a corto plazo constituye una componente vital de la estrategia de gestión "de demanda" y sostenibilidad de cualquier país o región, en coherencia con la Directiva Marco de Aguas de la Unión Europea a la que debemos adaptarnos progesivamente, hasta culminar el proceso en 2015. Desde esta perspectiva, se plantea construir un modelo econométrico que consiga una mejora sustancial sobre la predicción a corto plazo de una serie temporal, con respecto a metodologías clásicas, como modelos ARIMA, o más recientes, como es el caso de las Redes Neuronales artificiales. Se aplican las dos técnicas, modelos ARIMA y Redes Neuronales Artificiales, por separado y, por otra parte, se aplicael modelo híbrido para predecir la serie temporal objeto de estudio. Este nuevo modelo ha sido sometido a una evaluación de calidad de ajuste y precisión en la predicción a corto plazo, lo que ha permitido concluir que minimiza el error de predicción con respecto a las técnicas utilizadas por separado u, por tanto, se consiguen resultados más satisfactorios.
