El presente trabajo tiene por objeto el estudio y análisis de las creencias y convicciones que forman parte de todo ser humano. Abordaremos el tema en primer lugar, desde una perspectiva filosófica, preguntándonos qué hace que las personas tengamos un sistema axiológico de valores y cómo se presenta el mismo dependiendo de si se sigue una cosmovisión profana o sagrada. Seguidamente nos centraremos en el aspecto jurídico. Se analizará el marco normativo del ordenamiento español regulador de la libertad de conciencia y libertad religiosa, deteniéndonos especialmente en el dilema ético del origen y fin de la vida – interrupción del embarazo y eutanasia- ; tema que se tratará tomando como eje central el derecho a decidir de las personas.

The following paper is focused on the study and analysis of the beliefs and convictions which are part of every human being. Firstly the issue will be studied from a philosophical perspective, asking ourselves what makes people having a moral value system. Next we will pass through the legal aspect analyzing the regulatory framework inside the Spanish legal system which affects the freedom of thought and religious freedom, focusing on the ethical problem of the origin and end of life and taking as central point the human’s right to decide.
