Abstract

[ES] Preservaci?n digital en repositorios institucionales: Gredos es el t?tulo del Trabajo Fin de M?ster que se enmarca dentro del M?ster en Sistemas de Informaci?n Digital de la Universidad de Salamanca, curso acad?mico 2009-2010. En los ?ltimos siete a?os dos acontecimientos relacionados como son el movimiento Open Access y la creaci?n de los repositorios institucionales han sido detonantes para que el tema de la preservaci?n sea uno de los m?s estudiados en el ?mbito de la documentaci?n digital. Este estudio trata sobre la preservaci?n digital de los repositorios institucionales en acceso abierto, es decir la preservaci?n digital dirigida a asegurar la accesibilidad y el uso a largo plazo de los objetos digitales depositados en esos repositorios y por lo tanto garantizar la accesibilidad en el futuro a estos ?ltimos. Adem?s se pretende reflejar el estado de la cuesti?n actual de la preservaci?n digital y ofrecer una aplicaci?n pr?ctica para Gredos, el sistema de Gesti?n del Repositorio Documental de la Universidad de Salamanca. El objetivo ?ltimo es, por lo tanto, establecer el modus operandi en el desarrollo y puesta en pr?ctica de un plan de preservaci?n digital para Gredos.

[EN] Digital Preservation in Institutional Repositories: Gredos is the title of Final Master which is part of the Master in Digital Information Systems, University of Salamanca, academic year 2009-2010. In the past seven years, two related events such as the Open Access movement and the creation of institutional repositories have been the cause of that for the preservation issue is one of the most studied in the field of digital documentation. This study focuses on digital preservation of open access institutional repositories, digital preservation is aimed at ensuring the accessibility and long-term use of digital objects deposited in these repositories and thus ensure the future accessibility. It was also intended to reflect the current state of the digital preservation and it provide a practical application for Gredos, the Repository Management System Documentation at the University of Salamanca. The ultimate goal is, therefore, establish the modus operandi in the development and implementation of digital preservation plan for Gredos.
