Abstract

Es la gu?a de campo de la excursi?n del Grupo Espa?ol de Trabajo sobre Cuencas Terciarias Lacustres en Octubre de 1987. Abarca una transversal sureste-noroeste en la que se cortan los principales grupos de facies representativos de los contextos sedimentarios m?s caracter?sticos de los ambientes lacustres terciarios de la Cuenca del Duero. Sirve de introducci?n a estos extensos dep?sitos que son comparables a los de otras cuencas terciarias ib?ricas. Se re?nen aqu? los resultados de los trabajos de los autores en la cuenca y en especial los referentes al ne?geno de las regiones suroriental (I. Armenteros) y central (R. M. Mediavilla, Tesis Doctoral en curso) y en el Pale?geno de Salamanca (G. Alonso Gavil?n). Se a?ade una contribuci?n novedosa de E. Mulas y G. Alonso Gavil?n sobre la interpretaci?n sedimentaria y paleoecol?gica de los yacimientos de vertebrados del Pale?geno de Cubillos.
