Abstract

[EN] This research focuses on analyzing the efficiency of banks in Bolivia, by applying the DEA technique. The study focuses on all banks country and its performance during the years 1990-1999, a special time period in which almost 50% of the country's banks were closed, sold or went bankrupt. Since the study reviews the performance of banks and that their conservation over time is unknown, we will be able to establish a relationship between performance of these institutions and business continuity in the market, reaching the conclude that this relationship is not present in all cases.
