[EN] This work describe a case of hypodontia, a type of tooth agenesis in a lofiod?ntido (Perissodactyla, Mammalia) from the middle Eocene basin Duero (Castilla y Le?n, Spain). The fossil material consists of a jaw with all teeth fitted with an accused wear with the exception of P / 4 left, this condition must be explained by the absence of the corresponding P4 / left. The hypodontia is relatively common abnormality in human tooth development and is common in other mammalian species. Heredity appears to be the main factor involved in tooth agenesis.
