Abstract

[ES]Con motivo de la celebraci?n, en Salamanca, del II Congreso Nacional de Herpetolog?a, la sala de tortugas de la Universidad de Salamanca, a?n no inaugurada, tiene el honor de abrir sus puertas a los congresistas, mostrando parte de su famosa colecci?n. En ella hay dos ejemplares sobre los que se quiere llamar la atenci?n. El primero fue descubrierto por A. Corrochano, en 1982 en el Eoceno Inferior-Medio, entre Jambrina y Santa Clara (Zamora). Su posici?n "in situ" era normal y mostraba el espaldar aplastado. Fue extraido en bloques y limpiado de la ganga areniscosa, en el laboratorio, resultando tener un buen estado casi todo el peto y la cintura pelviana. el segunda ejemplar, tambi?n un Pelomed?sido, fue atacado y mordido por depredadores, pero pese a sus terribles heridas continu? vivo y pudo cicatrizarlas.

[EN]On the occasion of the celebration, in Salamanca, the Second National Congress of Herpetology, the Board of turtles from the University of Salamanca, not yet opened, has the honor of opening its doors to members of Congress, showing part of his famous collection. Here are two examples on which you want to attract attention. The first was descubrierto A. Corrochano in 1982 in the Lower-Middle Eocene, between Jambrina and Santa Clara (Zamora).
