[EN]The origin of Paleogene sedimentation basin was the remobilization of ancient hercynian fractures, forming a relief sufficiently rejuvenated or renewed throughout the Tertiary. Of great importance is the failure of Alba-Villoria, NNE-trending, whose track has been able to deduct over tens of km and identified by the contact between Paleogene E (or the socket with the Miocene). Successive tectonic interplay in the region have been compartmentalized distribution of strategic units, especially the oldest of them: the Preluteciense.
