Abstract

En "Origen de los petroglifos gallego-atlánticos", publicado en ZEPHYRVS III (fasc. 2), indicamos la necesidad de tratar con más extensión una de las partes. Después de haber mostrado en la I y II, las falsas bases sobre las que había asentado sus tesisi Obermaier, cómo había que abandonarla, y cómo era necesario enfocar de otra manera la procedencia de los petroglifos gallegos, que son un producto completamente independiente en su origen, de las restantes representaciones de la Península, de donde se les quiera hacer proceder, y no tienen, por tanto, nada que ver con las llamadas pinturas rupestres esquemáticas; y antes de haber establecido, en un breve final (IV, unas sumarísimas conclusiones, invitando en ellas al abandono definitivo de la tesis evolucionista como explicación formativa del arte prehistórico que creó dichas pinturas rupestres esquemáticas, hicimos un breve inciso, entre aquéllas y esta última* para presentar rápidamente otro trozo del puzzle, que creímos necesario hacer aparecer para una mejor comprensión de lo expuesto. En esta III parte, decíamos que Obermainer había incluido en su grupo antiguo algunos motivos que son identificables con ruedas, y otros que los consideraba como una evolución regresiva, llegando a ser representaciones humanas, incluso con dedos en manos y pies.
