Abstract

Desde un punto de vista general parece claro que en el estudio de los procesos de ense?anza-aprendizaje se va concediendo cada vez m?s importancia al funcionamiento cognitivo del sujeto que aprende (y tambi?n del que ense?a). Los modelos m?s conductuales del aprendizaje, seg?n los cuales la influencia del maestro y de la instrucci?n sobre el rendimiento del alumno era directa, no mediada, han ido cediendo paso a modelos cognitivo-conductuales que consideran dichas influencias seg?n una cadena E ?> C?> R es decir, ense?anza ?> cognici?n ?> rendimiento (v. Wittrock, 1986). As?, ni siquiera el reforzamiento, en la m?s rigurosa l?nea operante, afectar?a directamente la probabilidad de respuesta: que ello ocurriese depender?a del grado en que el sujeto-alumno reforzado lo percibiese (cognici?n) como dependiente de sus actos. Esta hip?tesis, no exenta de cr?ticas, recibe el apoyo de diversos estudios y fen?menos que despiertan gran inter?s en la actualidad: por citar algunos, el desamparo aprendido, con la noci?n central del aprendizaje de la no contingencia, el efecto de sobrejustificaci?n, la motivaci?n intr?nseca versus extr?nseca, etc.
