Espacios naturales protegidos y Parque Nacionales ¿turismo redentor, educación cívica o agresividad ambiental?

Abstract

[ES] Se hace una aproximación con sentido crítico a la transcendencia del patrimonio natural más representativo de la Península Ibérica, los parques nacionales, en los que nuestras sociedades buscan la satisfacción de sus necesidades de ocio o de aventura, no sabemos bien, si también de cultura y conocimiento científico. Es cierto que en estos años los parques nacionales han puesto a disposición de los ciudadanos centros de interpretación de la naturaleza y de sus paisajes encaminados a una educación cívica y al conocimiento de sus ecosistemas y valores culturales, con el fin de compartir con la población su disfrute, conservación y su futuro patrimonial. No siempre se han logrado estos objetivos comunes, pues la presión turística, las amenazas y los riesgos de degradación se han puesto de manifiesto una y otra vez, comprometiendo la propia “sostenibilidad” de los parques nacionales.
