Abstract

[ES] El cap?tulo examina la evoluci?n y situaci?n del mercado de trabajo en Castilla y Le?n a finales del siglo XX, destacando tanto sus desaf?os estructurales como ciertas se?ales de cambio. A partir de datos de la EPA, se constata una menor tasa de actividad y ocupaci?n respecto a la media nacional, especialmente entre las mujeres, as? como un peso notable del desempleo de larga duraci?n y de quienes buscan su primer empleo. No obstante, la regi?n ha mostrado una cierta estabilidad durante las crisis, apreci?ndose signos de mejora. El an?lisis subraya el impacto del envejecimiento demogr?fico y la necesidad de una mejor adecuaci?n entre formaci?n y demanda laboral, as? como la relevancia de las diferencias provinciales. Aunque persisten retos ?como la baja participaci?n femenina o la limitada capacidad de atracci?n de inversiones?, tambi?n se reconoce el potencial de sectores como el agroalimentario, el turismo o los servicios ligados al territorio, adem?s del sector industrial. En este contexto, el autor aboga por profundizar en pol?ticas activas de empleo y en el impulso a reformas estructurales orientadas a modernizar el tejido productivo de la regi?n y favorecer un mayor crecimiento en t?rminos de producci?n y de empleo.
