El traductor entre el centeno: an?lisis y propuesta de traducci?n de "El guardi?n entre el centeno"

Abstract

[EN] This work stems from the author's personal experience as a reader of J. D. Salinger's work. He initially approached the book out of boredom as a teenager, but quickly became captivated by the protagonist and his controversial perspective on the world. Despite some fragments that disconnected him from the narrative, he continued reading and eventually recommended the work to his friends, noting that some of them failed to finish it due to the perceived difficulty of the writing. After beginning studies in translation and interpretation, the author recognised the importance of the translation variable and decided to reread the work in its original version in order to compare it with the translation. The aim of the work is to analyse the context of the work, its author and its impact in the United States and Spain. In addition, the peculiarities of the play will be explored and the Spanish translation will be analysed in order to identify and explain possible flaws. Finally, the author will produce his own translation of the first two chapters, maintaining the original tone and style but adapting it to a Spanish audience.
