DEJAR HUELLA.

Abstract

[EN] Homeless women are a group that, due to their characteristics as women and homeless, suffer from a double invisibility that can be aggravated by other characteristics and/or conditioning factors, which gender inequality is one of them. Among the factors and causes that lead women into homelessness include ongoing episodes of domestic violence and ongoing episodes of family violence and gender-based violence. Thus, this gendered research therefore aims to describe the influence of socialisation agents on homeless women in the city of Salamanca, using the life history technique. Through the life history technique, the influence of the following agents of socialisation is analysed: family, school, friends, partners and community. Family and social networks stand out as agents of socialisation with the greatest impact and profound influence on their lives. Although the family has acted to a large extent as a risk factor, while friendships are currently an important protective factor for each of the women in the sample. The influence of other agents of socialisation are analysed and the investigation concludes with the limitations of the research as well as future issues to be taken into account in the intervention.
