La movilidad sostenible al centro de trabajo

Abstract

[EN] The massive use of cars has contributed to causing environmental, social and economic impacts which implies negative externalities for population and, especially, for workers. Among them we can find occupational accidents, health problems or loss of competitiveness. This article will analyse these problems and will propose a workplace mobility based on sustainability which makes compatible economic growth, social cohesion, road safety and environmental protection. Public administrations, public transport operating companies, workers and labour organizations will intervene in the implementation and development of this change. The role of workers and labour organizations is important and will be analysed through collective instruments that can be used to make this transition a reality. In conclusion, sustainable workplace mobility is a right of all workers to access the workplace in adequate, accessible and safe mobility conditions and safe mobility conditions and with the least possible environmental and social impact.
