La depresi?n terciaria de Zarza de Granadilla y sus bordes

Abstract

[ES]En el Macizo Herc?nico Ib?rico, al sur del Sistema Central se desarrollan algunas cuencas sedimentarias menores. Una de ellas, la de Zarza de Granadilla, es el objeto del presente trabajo. Se trata de una depresi?n controlada fundamentalmente por la falla de B?jar al E, que la separa e un bloque elevado y alineado con ella. Est? ocupada por materiales grauv?quicos procedentes del entorno gran?tico y metasedimentario del No y E. La geodin?mica de este borde activo (y sus falla asociadas) y el temprano exorreismo del r?o Alag?n organizan dos sectores: a)en el "oriental", las unidades de modelado se ordenan de forma paralela al borde, circunstancia que se repite en el conjunto monta?oso que la domina; en este sector los materiales aluiviales del r?o Ambroz (cuaternarios) apenas desarrollan procesos postsedimentarios; b)en el "occidental", drenado por el Alag?n, los sedimentos fluviales desarrollan una intensa paleoalteraci?n caolin?tica con silicificaciones; la caolinizaci?n afecta incluso al sustrato, sea este el sedimentoterciarioo el z?calo herc?nico. Se revisa, pues, la edad del relleno de la depresi?n, que ha de ser al menos pale?gena y de las terrazas del Alag?n, que ser?an anteriores al Plio-Cuaternario.
