Abstract

Introducci?n: La esquizofrenia es una enfermedad de origen mental que afecta considerablemente en la esfera social de quien lo padece. La estigmatizaci?n es una realidad con la que conviven estos enfermos. Justificaci?n: Estudio realizado con el fin de acercar esta enfermedad a la poblaci?n y a su vez estudiar la existencia de las actitudes estigmatizadoras que sufren las personas que padecen esquizofrenia. Objetivos: estudiar si existen diferencias en la estigmatizaci?n en funci?n de variables como sexo, edad o nivel de estudios. Material y m?todos: El estudio realizado cuenta con un tama?o muestra de (n;298), poblaci?n incluida hasta los 35 a?os. Se ha llevado a trav?s de las respuestas de los encuestados recogidas en Google Docs. Estos resultados han sido analizados de manera estad?stica a trav?s de Excel y Spss (v26). Resultados: Se ha observado una menor actitud estigmatizadora en el g?nero femenino y la necesidad de la formaci?n en la poblaci?n en el ?mbito de salud mental para reducir el estigma. Discusi?n: Se han encontrado similitudes a estudios previos y se plantean nuevas cuestiones para posteriores investigaciones. Conclusi?n: La formaci?n en salud mental reduce la estigmatizaci?n de la enfermedad por lo que hay que aumentar el nivel de conocimientos en la poblaci?n y a su vez el g?nero femenino presenta una mayor aceptaci?n de la enfermedad.
