Abstract

[ES]Este trabajo va a versar acerca del estudio del grafeno y de ciertos fen?menos f?sicos en este material. Algunos de ellos como el efecto Hall (tanto entero como fraccionario), la degeneraci?n de valle asociada a la ruptura de la simetr?a de inversi?n temporal y otros que ya mencionaremos. El trabajo constar? del estudio te?rico de estos fen?menos en el primer cap?tulo donde se desarrolla unos conceptos fundamentales de la f?sica del estado s?lido y de materiales en dos dimensiones. Posteriormente crearemos desde cero una heteroestructura de grafeno encapsulado en hBN, a partir de la cual podremos hacer las medidas necesarias para observar los fen?omenos explicados anteriormente. Este proceso de fabricaci?n viene explicado en detalle en el cap?tulo dos. Por ?ltimo haremos un estudio de los resultados obtenidos al hacer las medidas pertinentes en la muestra.

[EN]In this work we are going to focus on the study of graphene and certain physical phenomena in this material, some of them such as the Hall effect (both integer and fractional), the valley degeneration associated with the breaking of the time inversion symmetry and others that we will mention. To carry it out, we will first do the theoretical study of these phenomena in the first chapter where fundamental concepts of the physics of the solid state and of materials in two dimensions are developed. Later we will create from scratch a heterostructure of graphene encapsulated in hBN, from which we can make the necessary measurements to observe the phenomena explained above. This manufacturing process is explained in detail in chapter two. Finally we will make a study of the results obtained when making the pertinent measurements in the sample.
