Las alergias alimentarias en la poblaci?n escolar

Abstract

La alergia alimentaria en la poblaci?n infantil es una de las seis patolog?as m?s frecuentes del mundo, seg?n la OMS. Los alimentos con mayor consumo durante los primeros a?os de escolarizaci?n, son los m?s habituales a la hora de producir reacciones al?rgicas, por ello es conveniente dar opciones de formaci?n a los docentes de centros escolares. El siguiente trabajo consta de una primera parte te?rica, donde se realiza una b?squeda bibliogr?fica para enmarcar las alergias alimentarias, su diagn?stico y su posterior tratamiento, tanto fuera como dentro del entorno escolar. Posteriormente se realiza un trabajo de investigaci?n observacional, basado en una encuesta para docentes con el objetivo de conocer el grado de formaci?n que poseen respecto a las alergias alimentarias de los alumnos. Una vez evaluados los resultados, nos indican que existe un conocimiento general sobre el tema tratado, aunque en cuestiones espec?ficas del tratamiento y abordaje de las reacciones al?rgicas en la escuela, el conocimiento es insuficiente. Se hace necesaria la puesta en marcha de actividades de formaci?n desde el ?mbito sanitario, para docentes interesados en mejorar y ampliar sus conocimientos sobre alergias alimentarias en el entorno escolar.
