Abstract

Con la realizaci?n del presente trabajo, pretendemos hacer una revisi?n bibliogr?fica para tratar de conocer los efectos del contacto piel con piel, tambi?n llamado m?todo madre canguro. El nacimiento es un proceso delicado para el neonato, ya que le causa un estado de estr?s que puede alterar la adaptaci?n a la vida fuera del ?tero. Por ello, se ha demostrado que el CPP es una pr?ctica con numerosos beneficios en cuanto a su estabilizaci?n, en aspectos como lactancia materna, constantes vitales y v?nculo afectivo con sus padres. Tradicionalmente, este m?todo ya era utilizado como un modo de supervivencia para el reci?n nacido (RN), al no disponer de otros dispositivos. Sin embargo, con la llegada de los partos institucionales, se procede mayormente a la separaci?n madre e hijo, con un elevado uso de aparatos, como las incubadoras. No obstante, pronto comenz? a implantarse en los hospitales, al considerarse un cuidado m?s humano, dado los numerosos beneficios que tiene. As?, hace del parto una experiencia de mayor calidad y m?s satisfactoria, en especial para los padres. Para su realizaci?n, no es necesario ning?n tipo de instrumento, lo que le confiere gran sencillez. Adem?s, puede realizarlo cualquier otro familiar en defecto de la madre. Requiere especial formaci?n por parte del personal de enfermer?a, cuya labor es muy importante para realizar una buena pr?ctica y favorecer el ?xito.
