[EN]This chapter presents an introduction to online marketing and web positioning. Marketing is a fundamental element for any organization and marks its way of acting. This orientation is embodied in two fundamental objectives: customer attraction and customer retention. Without these premises it is impossible to generate income and profits for the organization. In order to understand how marketing and web positioning processes are developed, the technical fundamentals and concepts to be taken into account are analysed. The market research plays a key factor to lay the foundations of any strategy and here we analyze the different options available.
