Abstract

Introducci?n: La rodilla es una de las principales articulaciones afectada por la artrosis, enfermedad articular degenerativa de gran prevalencia, siendo predominante en las mujeres de edad avanzada. Para su tratamiento se distinguen medidas no farmacol?gicas, medidas farmacol?gicas y cirug?a. Objetivos: Conocer el uso del vendaje neuromuscular en la artrosis de rodilla, recopilando la informaci?n actual existente sobre dicho tema, as? como analizar su efectividad, forma de aplicaci?n, efectos sobre el dolor, funcionalidad, movilidad y fuerza muscular y su duraci?n. Estrategia de b?squeda y selecci?n de estudios: B?squeda bibliogr?fica de los ensayos cl?nicos publicados en los ?ltimos cinco a?os (2013-2018) sobre el vendaje neuromuscular en la artrosis de rodilla, en las bases de datos: PubMed y PEDro. S?ntesis y an?lisis de los resultados: Selecci?n de 10 art?culos encontr?ndose mejoras significativas en 7 de ellos, con una mejor?a de la movilidad de rodilla en el 80%, del dolor y la funcionalidad en el 62,5% y, en menor medida, en el 20% la fuerza muscular. Principalmente, estos efectos se producen de forma inmediata seg?n el 100% de los art?culos que lo eval?an y tras varias aplicaciones en el 66,7% y s?lo en el 33,3% cuando se realiza una ?nica aplicaci?n. Conclusi?n: El vendaje neuromuscular se puede utilizar como tratamiento complementario en la artrosis de rodilla, debido a la mejora significativa que tiene sobre el dolor, funcionalidad y movilidad tras varias aplicaciones, sin embargo, es inconcluso el mantenimiento de estos efectos en el tiempo, los cuales convendr?a seguir estudiando.
