Abstract

Millones de refugiados sirios escapan diariamente hacia Europa para huir de situaciones de guerra en las que la violencia, la tortura y muerte forman parte de sus vidas. Estos traslados crean inestabilidad en la persona y en su entorno, desarrollando numerosas patolog?as f?sicas y mentales. Los profesionales sanitarios tienen un gran papel en la estabilizaci?n de estas personas y su gran herramienta para realizar esto es la comunicaci?n, medio que falla al poseer barreras ling??sticas, culturales y religiosas. Objetivo: Identificar el proceso que engloba la comunicaci?n con un refugiado sirio, se?alando las barreras y facilitadores. Metodolog?a: Revisi?n bibliogr?fica (a?os 2006-2016) en las bases de datos Pubmed, Cochrane, Cinahl y google acad?mico adem?s de manuales y otras publicaciones online procedentes de ONG y sistemas sanitarios. Resultados: destacan las dificultades generadas por la diferencia en la cultura e idioma como barreras encontradas por los profesionales al interactuar con extranjeros. Se analiza la influencia de la cultura Siria en los procesos de salud-enfermedad, y finalmente se expone los m?todos y medios para disminuir las dificultades para crear una relaci?n ?ptima con el paciente refugiado. Conclusiones: la competencia transcultural del profesional tiene una gran influencia en la calidad de los cuidados. El uso de traductores ayuda a superar la mayor barrera de todas, la ling??stica. Crear sentimientos de tolerancia, empat?a y dar tiempo a conocer al paciente genera sentimientos de aceptaci?n facilitando la tarea laboral. Se necesita mucha preparaci?n e investigaci?n para poder afrontar correctamente la crisis de los refugiados.
