Duelo perinatal: el duelo olvidado

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo supone una revisi?n bibliogr?fica del duelo perinatal. Durante d?cadas este dolor no ha sido reconocido y la actitud principal ante el mismo era la de negar la p?rdida, tratando de eliminar, en la mayor brevedad posible toda se?al de su existencia. Sin embargo, a partir de los a?os 60, la percepci?n social de lo que supone tener un hijo cambia significativamente y el duelo perinatal comienza a ser objeto de inter?s cl?nico y cient?fico. El trabajo que nos ocupa hace referencia a algunos conceptos relacionados con este duelo, los tipos, las consecuencias del mismo sobre los afectados (progenitores, otros familiares y profesionales) y los retos y necesidades que a?n hoy existen en relaci?n al tema, con especial menci?n al potencial papel de los trabajadores socialesn en estas p?rdidas.
