Abstract

El derecho al ocio se concibe para todos los individuos sin discriminaci?n alguna, y por ello, los poderes p?blicos est?n obligados a remover todos los impedimentos para que este derecho pueda ser real y efectivo. De acuerdo con los ?ltimos datos disponibles, un 20% de la poblaci?n Europea tiene problemas de movilidad permanente o parcial, cifra que se presume, seguir? increment?ndose como consecuencia, sobre todo, del fuerte envejecimiento de la poblaci?n. Para muchos, una cierta discapacidad puede considerarse como el mayor obst?culo al acceso a muchas de las ofertas tur?sticas existentes. Sin embargo, la demanda de turismo accesible est? creciendo, hasta el punto de que todos los afectados en la industria tur?stica reconocen a los turistas discapacitados como un grupo importante de consumidores que a?n est?n a la espera de mayores disponibilidades de ofertas y servicios tur?sticos adecuados y de calidad que respondan a sus necesidades y expectativas.
