Comparatismo en Jap?n

Abstract

Hablar de comparatismo en Jap?n es hablar a la vez de una disciplina relativamente reciente (hikaku kenky?, estudios comparados), que adquiere carta de naturaleza en la posguerra y la reordenaci?n del mundo acad?mico japon?s, pero con precedentes obvios desde mediados del siglo XIX con el aperturismo cultural que se inicia entonces, y al mismo tiempo hablamos de una tradici?n hermen?utica que desde anta?o se entiende a s? misma en t?rminos comparatistas con las culturas de su entorno, la gran cultura china y las culturas coreana y del Pac?fico. La posguerra ver? la aparici?n de la disciplina comparatista como metodolog?a acad?micamente s?lida y de aplicaci?n universal. Como conclusi?n se cita la importancia de la bio?tica contempor?nea en los estudios comparatistas. En palabras de Hayashi Yoshihiro: ?en su esfuerzo por introducir una respuesta ?no-occidental? en el debate, los te?ricos de la bio?tica japoneses est?n abriendo un di?logo intercultural que puede tener una importancia de largo alcance, para lo cual tienen que recurrir a sus propias fuentes filos?ficas incluso al tiempo que se contin?an asimilando las de origen extranjero?.
