PTE data automation and management

Abstract

Cluster BE PTE department is responsible to monitor and guarantee the quality of products with enhanced knowhow in technology and product through proactive. To improve the operation efficiency of engineers, raise the product monitoring level and ensure a smoother workflow, there are three projects completed including Automated KPI Reporting, ALF LOH Auto Reporting, Automated Validation of TDF and Tableau project. In these projects, big data concept and some basic skills and knowledge for data management and automation are essential as project foundation. For supporting programing skill, Python is used as the main programing language to guarantee the process speed and fully automation of solution. Meanwhile, VBA is also used to automate Excel related tasks by creating Macros. By rolling out those solutions, in engineering level no more hand on effort needed for engineers, the report standardization is highly improved and response to some undesired incident get faster to minimize loss. In management level, managers can get an idea of overall performance and monitor every KPI index on time.
