Power system transient stability enhancement

Abstract

In this thesis the power system transient stability analysis and enhancement has been discussed. The analysis of power system performance under different failure conditions has been proposed. Ancillary control equipment like PSS and SVC has been added to power system as to improve the transient stability of power system and damp oscillations. The original intention of this thesis is to design advanced controller to enhance power system transient stability. As the electromagnetic parameters need to be obtained to analyze the stability as well as work efficiency of controller, a series of simulations are been conducted by MATLAB/Simulink.
