This thesis describes the preliminary development work of an internal pipe inspection robot in the Robotics Research Center (RRC), Nanyang Technological University. It focuses on fundamental design aspects that are, (i) the mechanical structure, (ii) the locomotion mechanism and (iii) the locomotion computer program algorithm.
