Prospect of Asean security community.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) commemorated the 40th anniversary of its foundation last year. This was a grand event, marking ASEAN's new development process with uninterrupted efforts during the past several decades. This was also the opportunity for each and every member country to look back and review the achievements along with the remaining shortcomings and problems that need further attention in order to strengthen solidarity, to promote integration and comprehensive cooperation for peace, stability and development of each member country, intra-association, the region and the world.
