A gestão do tempo em empresas de desenvolvimento de software: um estudo de caso

Abstract

Esta dissertação foi desenvolvida com o intuito de estudar a gestão do tempo em projetos de desenvolvimento de software e caraterizar as práticas de gestão do tempo numa empresa (e a sua comparação com o referencial de boas práticas do guia PMBOK. Inicialmente procedeu-se ao estudo e investigação sobre a gestão de projetos, fundamentalmente em literatura de referência, que serviu de base para o trabalho desenvolvido. Posteriormente foram estudados, através de uma entrevista, diversas reuniões e análise de documentos, os processos que a empresa utiliza para a gestão do tempo nos seus projetos, tendo por base os processos descritos no guia PMBOK. Através da análise dessa informação, foi possível identificar alguns pontos a melhorar por parte da empresa que foram convertidos em propostas de melhorias. Espera-se então que esta dissertação ajude a empresa nos seus processos de gestão do tempo em projetos e resolva algumas das suas dificuldades.

The main objective of this dissertation is to study time management in software development projects and characterize the time management practices used in a company, through the realization of a case study. The practices and difficulties of time management were identified and compared with the referential of good practices of the PMBOK guide. Initially the state of the art on project management was elaborated to support the basis of this research. Furthermore, the analysis of time management in the studied company was addressed based on interviews, meetings and documents analyses, and compared with the processes described in the PMBOK guide. Through this analysis it was possible propose some improvements. With this investigation it is expected that the company can improve its time management processes, projects and solve other current problems.
