A PassivHaus em Portugal

A PassivHaus em Portugal

Abstract

There is a need to reduce the energetic consumption that results in a negative impact in the environment, contributing to the increase of greenhouse gases emission and scarcity of resources. Therefore, it is imperative to decrease such environmental impact and find the balance between the comfort demanded by modern society and the energetic consumption. The Passivhaus standard has arisen with the objective of defining project guidelines in order to obtain more efficient buildings at an energetic level and with high comfort. There were analysed proposals for Portugal, through the Passive-On project for Lisboa’s region, and afterwards, it was conducted an analysis of the same proposals for Vila Real’s region, where two different calculus program were used, the RCCTE and PHPP calculus sheet. Both programs retrieved the same conclusion, even though the needs values were different, in which the proposals are appropriate for Lisboa’s region but not for Vila Real’s. For a more severe weather it is necessary to adapt the room with heating systems with low energetic consumption. Beside the thermic behaviour analysis, it was also developed an economic analysis of the different proposals. In this analysis, it was observed that the cost to get a Passivhaus can be substantial, but if it is perceived as a long term investment, it can be truly beneficial, thereby supporting the feasibility of this kind of construction.
