Complexo Colangite Felino

Abstract

O complexo colangite é uma doença hepática comum em felinos, representando a segunda maior causa de doença hepática nos mesmos. Caracteriza-se por uma inflamação do tracto biliar que, em alguns gatos, pode também estender-se ao parênquima hepático envolvente. Esta doença é subdividida em três formas: colangite neutrofílica; colangite linfocítica; e colangite crónica associada a tremátodes hepáticos. A doença inflamatória hepática pode ocorrer concomitantemente à inflamação intestinal e à pancreatite, podendo esta situação estar relacionada com particularidades anatómicas da espécie felina. Pode ser feito um diagnóstico presuntivo com base nos sinais clínicos, perfil hematológico, bioquímico, análise de urina e imagiologia. No entanto, apenas a biopsia hepática permite um diagnóstico definitivo de colangite. O tratamento tem diferenças para cada forma da doença e, o prognóstico depende muito, do tratamento instituído e da resposta ao mesmo. Ao longo do estágio curricular realizado no Hospital Veterinário Montenegro, foram observados vários tipos de patologias hepáticas nos felinos, sendo o complexo colangite felino a mais frequente. Durante este período foram acompanhados 5 casos clínicos de colangite felina, dos quais apenas dois são apresentados neste trabalho, tendo sido analisados em termos de diagnóstico, tratamento e acompanhamento.
