Gazeta de Lisboa (1715-1716 e 1815): contextualização, estudo informático-linguístico e edição

Abstract

This present research work aims to establish itself as another important contribution to the historical studies of the Portuguese language, using the longest newspaper in our history, Gazeta de Lisboa, as a corpus, where we selected two blocks of text (1715-16 and 1815) that represent two different centuries. This work consists of three parts: a semidiplomatic edition of Gazeta de Lisboa (1715-16 e 1815), a study on the journalistic context and the history of this newspaper, and, finally, a comparative-contrastive linguistic analysis of these two periods of time through a computer program of automatic text analysis, NooJ.
