Abstract

Introducción: El desgaste dentario interproximal con fines terapéuticos es un procedimiento habitual en la Ortodoncia contemporánea. En la actualidad persisten las dudas sobre la eficacia y consecuencias para el esmalte de las diferentes técnicas de desgaste dentario interproximal. Objetivo: Asumiendo la hipótesis de que a mayor rugosidad superficial del esmalte pueden aparecer mayores problemas dentales, nuestro objetivo ha sido evaluar la rugosidad superficial del esmalte tras el desgaste interproximal con cinco técnicas diferentes y dos tipos de refrigeración: aire y aire-agua.
