Abstract

Introdución: O uso de concentrados plaquetarios revolucionou o campo da rexeneración en odontoloxía, mellorando a cicatrización e a rexeneración de tecidos. Os máis salientables son PRP (plasma rico en plaquetas), PRGF (plasma rico en factores de crecemento) e L-PRF (fibrina rica en plaquetas e leucocitos), cada un coas súas características. O L-PRF (fibrina rica en plaquetas e leucocitos), pola súa composición, ofrece vantaxes mecánicas e inmunolóxicas. Varios parámetros como o hematocrito, o fibrinóxeno e o sexo poderían influír na calidade das membranas obtidas. Obxectivo: O obxectivo do presente estudo foi analizar como os parámetros sanguíneos (hematocrito, fibrinóxeno, etc.) e o sexo biolóxico afectan ás propiedades macroscópicas das membranas L-PRF (fibrina rica en plaquetas e leucocitos), máis concretamente o seu tamaño, e a posible correlación entre elas. Materiais e métodos: Seleccionáronse vinte estudantes da Facultade de Odontoloxía da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, metade homes, metade mulleres, e sistémicamente sans. Non deben estar tomando medicamentos anticoagulantes e non deben ter unha condición sistémica que imposibilite a extracción de sangue. Realizáronse análises de sangue e unha segunda extracción para obter as membranas L-PRF (fibrina rica en plaquetas e leucocitos). Cos datos sobre as dimensións das membranas (longo e ancho) e os valores dos parámetros sanguíneos, realizouse unha análise estatística. Resultados: A lonxitude das membranas resultou maior nas mulleres, e esta diferenza foi significativa. Por outra banda, demostrouse unha correlación negativa significativa entre o hematocrito e a lonxitude da membrana (-0,585). Ademais, observouse unha diferenza significativa no hematocrito, sendo maior nos homes. Conclusións: O tamaño das membranas L-PRF (fibrina rica en plaquetas e leucocitos) é significativamente maior nas mulleres e está correlacionado negativamente co hematocrito.
